一、post 名词、动词。作名词是不可数名词、表示“邮寄、邮政（局）、投邮的地方”。能作定语或构成合成词。常和the连用，表示一批邮件。作动词表示“邮寄、投邮”。post多用于英国英语。例如：
I'll put an application form in the post(mail) for you today. 我今天会把申请表邮寄给你。
The post had arrived and there were two letters for her. 那批邮件到了，有她的两封信。
